CCRDA Fall Workshops 2021 has ended
Based on member feedback, this year’s Fall Workshops are focused on very practical learning opportunities, with our time book-ended by space for inspiration and spiritual formation.

We are excited to be featuring Cheryl Bear and Sara Williamson-Bynoe for our opening and closing plenary sessions focused on spiritual formation. We are also happy to highlight some of the amazing expertise from right within our own Preferred Partner Network. There are a great variety of topics to be explored and something for almost everybody to join in learning. And because they are Preferred Partners, you know it’s going to be good!

Glad to have you join us as we learn together!

Since it was published in 2019, The Redemptive Nonprofit: A Playbook for Leaders has captured the imagination of charity leaders across North America and around the world with its call for a redemptive rethinking of the very premise of the modern nonprofit. Authored by the Praxis Partners (including Andy Crouch), the book aims to “inspire a new generation of leaders to go beyond the baseline of best practices that should characterize any organization—to building nonprofits that embody the radical hope of the Christian gospel and its power to transform persons, communities, and the course of history.”

The authors identify six core commitments of the redemptive nonprofit, each with several actionable organizational practices: Story, Programs, Team, Board, Funding and Identity. In this fast-paced, interactive seminar, several nonprofit practitioners (including Ed Wilson of Long Run Consulting; Petra Kooman of Great North Agency; Kevin Dixon of Wellspring Foundation; Philip Reilly of Tear Fund Canada; and Ron Burdock, former director of global outreach at North Park Community Church in London, Ontario) will describe how the practices associated with the six commitments in The Redemptive Nonprofit are challenging and shaping their thoughts and conduct as they pursue the greatest redemptive impact of their work.
